Qualification Purpose
The purpose of this qualification is for learners to gain the knowledge and skills required to lead and/or manage others within a residential childcare setting.
Entry Requirements.
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent
The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other educational routes and /or job rules such as
- children’s young people families manger apprenticeship
- Residential childcare assistant manager /Manager
- assistant manger in within adult or children and young people’s social care settings
Structure
Learners must achieve a minimum of 80 credits to achieve the TQUK level 5 diploma in leadership and management for residential childcare (RQF) online course. Learners must achieve 60 credits from mandatory units and the remaining credits from the optional units.
